Vipre Endpoint Security: 188.8.131.52, Agents: 11.0.7632
Both the application help, and the on-line help list this under Basic Firewall Protection Settings:
Allow users to trust new network connections (ideal for roaming users): this sets the agent to automatically trust new network connections, which is an ideal setting for users who travel often with a laptop to avoid frequent prompts asking the user whether to allow a network connection.
I do not believe that is written correctly. If set (checked) it prompts the user with: Do you want to trust this network? It doesn't avoid the prompts.
If this option is not set (unchecked), does it automatically set all new networks as Trusted (e.g. Work/Private) as indicated in the Help? I would think Untrusted (Public) should be the default for new networks (e.g. Hotels, Coffee shops, ...).
I have the exact same question. I have a bunch of users that are being prompted for this when we have this option selected and it theoretically should not be prompting them. Can someone provide some clarification on this?
Also, I have already upgraded to version 12 and am still seeing this issue.
