The FailedprocessingXML folder on the server hosting the VIPRE Business Console has a large number of files that continue to pile up.


  • VIPRE Business
  • VIPRE Business Premium
  • VIPRE Endpoint Security
  • All Supported Environments


The solution for the issue depends on the cause of the files building up in this folder.
If the XML files are coming from an older agent version, upgrade the agent to the currently released version.

If all the files have an old date modified dates do the following:
  1. Close the Console and stop the VIPRE Business Site Service
  2. Navigate to the Console's Volatile Data folder:
  3. Purge the contents of "IncomingXML" & "FailedProcessingXml"
  4. Start the VIPRE Business Site Service

Keep an eye on the folders if things start to build up again and open a case with support so we can investigate why the files are failing to be processed.


This folder should normally be empty. There are two main reasons why files fail to processed correctly.
  1. The VIPRE console is having database issue or has had database issues in the past.
  2. Some of the agents reporting to the console have not been upgraded (for example the 6.2 console will have issues with reports from 3.1 agents)
