VIPRE Email Security is not scoring obvious spam messages. The headers from the messages shows a score like the example below.

Verify the Antispam definitions are updating correctly then submit the messaged to missed spam for review.

Confirm the Antispam Definitions are up to date:

1. Go to: Settings > Updates & Licensing > Licensing (Tab)

2. Confirm the license is Valid and Current

3. Go to: Updates (Tab)

4. Click on Schedule

5. Set it to check for update every 30 minutes click ok

6. Click update now

This mailbox will forward the missed spam to the associated vendors for review.
Note: It typically take 24-48 hours after submission for the definitions to be updated. This process is automated and not feedback is provided for the submissions. 

If the missed spam is coming from common spam domains you can also add global rules to quarantine the messages.


Go to: Antispam > Global rules

Click on add and provide a name for the rule

Choose Blocked Sender and click next

Enter the text *@*.EU click next

Choose Quarantine click finish


.EU is a very common spam domain. Some other are as follows.







The engines may not be updating correctly, or the messages simply did not trigger a detection by any of the Antispam engines.

The engines are signature based so something in the body, subject or headers of the message has to trigger a detection in order for the engine to score the message.
