In the event the Log Gathering Utility is unable to successfully collect the VIPRE Business Agent's various logs and files together, manual collection is possible through the instructions below:

Creating the Destination Folder:
  1. Create a folder on the Desktop of the system hosting the VIPRE Agent
  2. Rename this folder to the Ticket Number the logs are associated with
  3. Place all item collected through the steps below inside this folder

Gathering the Agent's Log and Configuration Files:
  1. Navigate to the Agent's Volatile Data Folder:
    C:\ProgramData\VIPRE Business Agent\ (Other OS/Version Locations)
  2. Copy the entire contents of this directory to the Destination Folder
  3. Navigate to the Agent's User Data Folder:
    C:\Users\%User%\AppData\Roaming\VIPRE Business Agent\ (Other OS/Version Locations)
  4. Open the Logs folder and copy the contents into the Destination Folder

Gathering the Application and System Event Logs:
  1. Run "eventvwr" to open the Event Viewer
  2. Expand Windows Logs and select Application
  3. Select "Save All Events As..." in the right-hand pane
  4. Save this log to the Destination Folder as "EvtApp.evtx"
  5. Return to Windows Logs and select System
  6. Save this log to the Destination Folder as "EvtSys.evtx"

Gathering a copy of the System Information File:
  1. Run "msinfo32" to open the System Information window
  2. Select File followed by Save on the upper-left
  3. Target the Destination Folder and save the file as "SysInfo.nfo"

Once complete, compress and submit the Destination Folder to the ThreatTrack FTP:
