In the event the Snapshot Utility is unable to successfully collect VIPRE Email Security's various logs and files together, manual collection is possible through the instructions below:

Creating the Destination Folder:
  1. Create a folder on the Desktop of the system hosting VIPRE Email Security
  2. Rename this folder to the Ticket Number the logs are associated with
  3. Place all item collected through the steps below inside this folder

Gathering VIPRE Email Security's Cache, Logs and Configuration Files:
  1. Run a Cache Dump through the Start Menu:
    Start > Programs > VIPRE Email Security > Support Tools > Cache Dump
    For Server 2012+, tap the Windows Key and locate the Cache Dump tile
  2. Navigate to VIPRE Email Security's Installation Directory: (Default Directories are listed below)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\VIPRE Email Security\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Sunbelt Software\VIPRE Email Security\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Sunbelt Software\Ninja Email Security\
  3. Copy the Cache, Logs and Settings directories to the Destination Folder

Gathering the Application and System Event Logs:
  1. Run "eventvwr" to open the Event Viewer
  2. Expand Windows Logs and select Application
  3. Select "Save All Events As..." in the right-hand pane
  4. Save this log to the Destination Folder as "EvtApp.evtx"
  5. Return to Windows Logs and select System
  6. Save this log to the Destination Folder as "EvtSys.evtx"

Gathering a copy of the System Information File:
  1. Run "msinfo32" to open the System Information window
  2. Select File followed by Save on the upper-left
  3. Target the Destination Folder and save the file as "SysInfo.nfo"

Once complete, compress and submit the Destination Folder to the ThreatTrack FTP:
