MSI generated from the console results in a 0 KB file. The following error is found in the EnterpriseService.log file in the Logs folder VIPRE Business Console's Volatile Data Directory.

  1. Open the policy the MSI is being created from
  2. Expand Agent Installation Management
  3. Select Configuration
  4. Verify the Agent Installation type is set to VIPRE Business Premium or VIPRE Endpoint Security
  5. Click Apply then OK

Repeat these steps for any other impacted policies.


There are different causes for this issue. This error corresponds to the default agent type in the policy being set to the incorrect agent type. This usually occurs after upgrading from VIPRE Business to VIPRE Business Premium.
